But I settled on "Creation is calling" and for this post in 2014, I added the 1806 poem. I'm posting it here because a friend requested it earlier today, so this version will be a little more polished:
Anyway, on a Saturday night in 2013, it was another gathering and the worship was glorious. I had closed my eyes to concentrate. I was playing my djembe so I needed to listen to the sound and flow with the worship team and the Spirit to adjust to where we were going.
As I focused on the flow, in my minds eye I saw a star. A lone star in a dark sky. I opened my eyes because the star was a bit distracting. I closed my eyes again but the star was still there. It seemed it was like that Old Testament account " a burning bush that Moses turned aside to see".
So since the star was still there - I began to "turn aside to this burning bush". As I looked again, the star became clearer. It seemed that the star was calling for "HELP!" I engaged my mind to handle this "stellar request". My thoughts and reasonings began to flood in - I could feel UNBELIEF filling me up.
To address the flood, I stopped thinking (I dis-engaged my mind); then, I responded as a son.
With that correct decision, I began flying in and through outer space. The worship
service was no longer real - reality became this rescue mission! Flying from earth to this distant star - traveling NOT by knowledge but traveling by obediance (sons obey the call - a calling to deliver, secure, and free ALL creation). This star was a candidate for deliverance!
Not sure how long or how far I traveled to the star, but as I traveled, it grew in size. As I approached the star, I also grew in size. This was a bit beyond my comprehendsion and experience but not my spirit - it was as if, I needed to be of a larger size to make a difference. [I have learned that - "We will be WHATEVER is needed to bring resolution, victory, for every situation we engage!" ]
The star was "lacking an environment" - so I breathed over the star and the star was refreshed. Then I reached out and held the star in my hand. After a moment of gazing at the small star in my large hand, I placed the star into my being. Now, the star had an environment.
This is The Glory Made Manifest.
I am sure the Father could have saved the star Himself but it is GLORY for a son to respond as a son. The right response brings pleasure to the Father.
It seems it does not take long OR take much effort to respond as son. When I
returned - we were still in the midst of worship (and hopefully I had kept
the right tempo on my drum). At that moment someone went to the microphone to
share a prophetic word and I pondered if I should share what I just experienced. As I thought about it, "leaving earth, traveling through space at the request of a star..." Hmmm, I could barely get my head around and I was having trouble putting pen to paper - my brain was not believing what I was writing in my note book. The service continue, the presence was sweet and I thought maybe my experience would be best reserved for my private journal. The praise service ended and our guest speaker delivered an awesome message. As he delivered, I realized that my experience would be an encouragement to the speaker (I think). As I thought about the message and my experience - a verse dropped into me. I opened my bible to see if it was true. To my surprise, I was given a scripture that supported my "star encounter". Here is the verse:
JONAH 1:17 (New International Version)
"Now the LORD provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights."
Lessons from Jonah:
1. The Lord could have "snagged" Jonah but He use a huge fish (the Lord has provided sons to bring HELP for all creation - sons need to respond)
2. The huge fish had never "swallowed" a human before; he did not know if he had the capacity but he swallowed (He responded to the call)
3. The huge fish had never had another creation in his belly but he carried Jonah
We, like the whale, must believe and DO the supernatural!
Thinking is NOT required!
Thinking usually becomes a hinderance and a constraint!
We need to be at least as smart as that huge responding fish!
If you want to participate in more Kingdom stuff like the whale or other sons - stop thinking yourself out of the invitations to the unknown & respond quickly!
