the Sistine Chapel’s ceiling. The
official name of the image is entitled “The Creation of Adam” created in 1508 by the 33-year-old Michelangelo. The figures representing God and Adam reach for each other with their arms outstretched. This famous image
has been on the ceiling for hundreds of years, even longer in the minds of the church as the acceptable relationship with God. Religion promotes closeness to God but not connection which leads to intimacy and intimacy leads to life. The enemy has burned this image into the eyes of many hearts.
I believe Michelangelo captured the spirit of religion.
I saw a new image: I saw Him grasping your hand and pulling you up to Himself.
This is not static image like Michelangelo but a motion picture.
He is actively loving and always lifting.
In this relationship, we are lifted and loved!
In this last generation, we seem to follow in a type of “maturity cycle”:
Stage 1:Needy (co-dependent)
Stage 2: Partnering (co-laboring)
Stage 3: Delivering (conquering)
A key is not to remain at any stage longer than needed. This is possible as long as you are not led by and make ASSUMPTIONS.
Making assumptions only delays our maturity and movement through the cycle.
In this season, we are aided through these stages by the winds of the Spirit.
These four winds are blowing.
Every believer who believes and is set to journey this cycle will be aided.
As natural winds aid sailing vessels, so shall these “released” four winds enable intentional believers in the cycle.
A critical key is to remain in the cycle and to not become stagnant.
Each time through the cycle, you acquire more wisdom & understanding
